(Online) Plagiarism and AI Detectors for Faculty and Instructors Online
The growing hype around generative AI tools has many educators wondering how they can ensure the authenticity of their students' work. One option that may seem attractive is to run student writing through an AI detector to see the results. In this workshop, we'll discuss plagiarism and AI detectors, how they work, what they can and can't tell us about a student's work, and what ethical issues we should consider before using them.
